How to exit yourself from gmail email thread

If you find yourself to be the part of an email thread on your gmail account. Don’t be panic, you can excuse yourself from the thread by only one click.

How you can do this from your gmail account:

  1. Open the email thread you’d like to drop out of and click on “More” in the upper-right.
  2. In the drop-down, select “Mute.”

Now, the message of this thread will be archived and skip your inbox automatically.

In future, if you miss being a part of email thread then you can always un-mute the conversation by clicking on “Unmute” under more tab.
