How To Get Currency Code & Currency Rate In Magento

In magento we are using three type of currency code Base currency,Default currency and Current currency code.

  1. Base currency is the currency that is used for online transaction from your store.
  2. Default currency is the currency used to display pricing in your store.
  3. Current currency is the currency currently chosen by the user for displaying price in the store.

Get Base Currency Code:

Get Default Currency Code

Get Current Currency Code

Get Available/Allowed Currency Codes

Now how to get the currency rate of current currency with respect to base currency. Let suppose, the base currency is USD and current currency is EUR. So Current exchange rate is 1 USD = 0.92 EUR. Then, current currency rate will be 0.92.
